In general, in the mental seat butterfly valve, the sealing seat material is rubber when the life is more than 15 years, and if the stainless steel metal material life can reach 80 years, and for different valves, the sealing seat material should also be selected according to the actual situation. In the hard-sealed butterfly valve, the opening is roughly proportional to its flow rate, and when the throttle range is large, the back of the valve plate is prone to cavitation, which will affect its life. When the throttle side of the mental seat butterfly valve produces negative pressure, it is easy to cause the rubber seal to fall off.

In addition, when the inlet side of the mental seat butterfly valve is equipped with a bend, a bias will be formed, and its torque will increase accordingly. The operating torque is also different in the opening and closing direction of the butterfly valve. For horizontal valves, especially some large diameter valves, the torque value generated by the difference between the water depth and the water head above and below the valve shaft also needs to be paid attention to, which may lead to the shortening of its sealing life.
