1. Rubber sealing
Rubber sealing is one of the most common sealing types for butterfly valves. Rubber sealing materials usually adopt nitrile rubber, chloroprene rubber, ethylene propylene rubber, etc. Rubber seals can adapt to different temperature ranges, media and pressure requirements, and the sealing effect is stable and reliable. However, its corrosion resistance and service life are relatively low. It is applicable to general media and low-pressure areas.
2. PTFE sealing
Compared with rubber seals, PTFE seals can better adapt to harsh environments such as high temperatures, strong acids and alkalis, and high pressures. PTFE material features excellent corrosion resistance, anti-adhesion, and non-toxicity. The PTFE sealing structure adopts a bidirectional elastic arm, which can adaptively compensate for pipeline deviations and has a better sealing effect. However, the cost of PTFE seals is relatively high and their application scope is relatively narrow.
3. Metal Sealing
The metal sealing structure adopts different metal materials, such as 304, 316 stainless steel, etc., and the metal sealing rings are welded to the door panel through processes such as hot forming and welding. Metal seals are suitable for high-temperature, high-pressure and highly corrosive environments. However, the manufacturing cost of metal seals is relatively high, and their installation and maintenance are rather difficult.
